Some ideas about money, people, and love
Some ideas about money, people, and love living rent-free in my head lately.
1/ The world sees success from the lens of some proxies. Money is one of them.
The world will always respect people who’re able to move money around (make it, help others make it, etc). Two things come to mind when I think of this:
- I don’t feel so bad for wanting to make a lot of money and wealth 😀
- What PaulG says. That wealth comes to you when you create value in the world, for others. When you chase that, money comes as a by-product. Wealth is the reward.
Ofc, there’s luck and timing and all that.
2/ You may not understand people’s lives. And they may not understand yours.
It’s not even something worth trying. Instead, I think we should try to put ourselves around people who…
- Let us discover ourselves.
- Make our independent decisions.
- Make some mistakes and have a safe fallback.
- Push us to be the best version of ourselves (and not let us rot :D)
- Oh, people who make us laugh too.
They don’t have to agree with you. Or want the same things as you.
What I’ve found to be useful in my case — to meet people who don’t see life like I do. It’s the ONLY way to not live in a bubble. And a hack there is to meet the ones who will talk to you with the intention of helping you succeed. Not with the intention of being right.
3/ AI makes me a 10X human and I may be addicted to that feeling. Good thing or not? Only time will tell.
But if I am being sensible, I should know any addiction is bad. So, I try to max out when I’m on my laptop. And when I am not, I try to be around good humans.
That’s all. For now.
