Notes from my first buildathon

From the time my brother and I did a buildathon. My first one as a newly minted AI vibe engineer / builder. Hosted by Udayan and GrowthX®.
I have many notes. Never got around to writing it. But here’s some things still on my mind.
1/ Humans were perhaps meant to create.
I’m most engaged when I’m left with ideas and my laptop and a ton of AI credits.
2/ A version of the IKEA marriage test applied here too.
Vishal and I hadn’t done a time-bound task we both cared about together in a while. And that meant being kind and polite and yet pushing each other to do more.
3/ I’d like my weekends to be this.
Lock myself in some place with some food and ideas. Ofc, all for Yellow for Menopause now.
Which means, I will ensure I have maker days. And a good mix of those.
In fact, if I look back at the last two weeks, I am almost there! Very grateful to be in control of my time.
4/ I didn’t win. Would’ve liked to.
Came back with notes on what works. When I participate in another one, I shall report back.
5/ Learned that I am competitive. And there’s a lesson there.
I care some bit about “playing” the game. Had realised this with pickle too. And I have a new perspective on this.
Competition is NOT just about ego. In fact, if you are low ego, it is about giving a shit.
Giving a shit is a good reason to be competitive. It means you will take your best to the game. To the task. And not be indifferent.
So? Find things to care about. And tell me how that goes.
That’s all for now. Going back to the things for the day.
P.S. The thing we worked on there will now be the base for one of Yellow for Menopause’s products. CC: Aarya, Emily 🙂
