“Been 18 months since I’ve been with C4E, seeing it go from a team of two to the collective it is today and there’s just one thing that keeps us intact – our ethos.

At C4E, we embody a culture that makes us who we are and helps create an environment for each person to thrive in and find their own adventure.

Here’s a glimpse –

💣 Free, unlimited Starbucks

Okay, this is clickbait-y. Yes, we’ve got a free Starbucks India policy at C4E but that’s not all.

Every person at C4E is encouraged to step outside, be at the centre of action, meet people, and put themselves in uncomfortable, unpredictable situations. Free Starbucks is merely our way of reducing the roadblocks you may have.

As for unlimited, it’s true. There’s no cap. Only a policy of ‘use, don’t abuse’.

We don’t put a number to it because we want each person at C4E to consider it their own company. There’s no boss paying for your coffee. It’s you borrowing from YOUR company so you can do more and better.

💣 We are a roundtable, not a hierarchy

Do you know about the round table around which King Arthur and his knights congregate? The table implies everyone who sits there has equal status, unlike rectangular ones in Indian households. That round table is a symbol of equality, unity and oneness.

The C4E round table is a symbol of respect, equality, and oneness. It implies that when you come in, you don’t see a ladder to climb, but a roundtable to sit at. It’s a seat you earn. Regardless of your age or pedigree.

💣 Async communication

As much as we love spending time with each other on calls (while playing the uke, eating from a bowl of colourful salad, hitting the weights) – we believe our work should happen async.

It’s why we push ourselves to use Asana. All operations happen async and when we meet, we have time for big-picture things. And of course, for falooda (come find out what that is!).

💣 Flexible hours

We take our work seriously. As a team, we aim to be super reliable and neat with our delivery. You might even say that we really do believe “customer is king / queen”.

However, we don’t want to dictate what hours of the day you work. So, we aim for the ideal state – you define your work-life balance and there’s self-accountability.

We’ve been able to achieve this by having work buddies to rely on, not overloading people with multiple accounts, and maintaining a balance of time-sensitive projects and flexible ones.

💣 The C4E Village

When you come in, you sign up to be a part of a tribe, a village, or a cult (if I may). You say yes to being friends with us, not colleagues. You get a team to root for your success, while you root for theirs. And I think that just might be my favourite part about being here.

That’s us (for the most part)

🎉 And if you want to be a part of this cruise to a currently-unknown island, you’re lucky. I’m hiring my replacement. Come work with us? 🎉
