“Inaction is a particularly insidious type of risk.

This is from Sam Altman’s post about things he wishes he was told growing up.

Most of February has reaffirmed this for me. How?

Yesterday, I was thinking about my life (work, people, things I do), and I realised that not many external factors have a hold on how I feel. For now, at least.

No stressful relationships.
No workplace politics.

In fact, it is the opposite. I’ve gotten lucky with people and work.

My mood and energy levels are almost entirely dependent on me.

I did some introspection AND – I feel I am most sorted in my head when I’ve moved. Actioned what needed to be actioned. Did the thing I told myself I’d do. Basically, no space for inaction.

And so, this week, I’ve decided to optimise my life to be able to act. To keep my brain happy. Most of it is already in place. Some, not so much.

After a lot of trial and error, I’ve gotten slightly better at managing my time (thanks to Saurabh) and I know it’s only uphill from here.

This week, I plan on –

➡ Initiating conversations with event organisers for Decoding Draupadi (DD). Around 20+ women leaders have trusted us with this mission – to get more women on stages by collaborating with event organisers at a leadership level. Now, we’re ready to talk business.

➡ More outreach for Draupadi on the Dais. The stronger our network of women leaders, the closer we get to the mission.

➡ Experimenting and getting DD’s video design language in place. We’ve got 3 podcast recordings ready to go live (Shilpa Bhaskar Gole, Meeta Gupta and Shreya Pattar). This is my first time working with an editor to get a good, interesting video content piece out.

➡ Schedule more podcast episodes for Decoding Draupadi

➡ Some BAU for the database. Right now, Anshika and I are manually setting up profiles on Notion. We weren’t able to roll out a functional website and didn’t want that to be a roadblock. It’s super important for me that all women we speak to have a comfortable experience with DD. So, we’re doing this first-hand.

➡ A couple of different things for C4E – BAU for one of the clients I work with. Find the next person to join us and help do brilliant things (link in comment). Speak to some designers and writers for an upcoming project.

➡ Final round of edits on a personal branding proposal for a mental health professional.

➡ And finally, spend some time researching and thinking about a new idea we have at Decoding Draupadi. If you know or have worked with female artisans, can we chat?

📌 What I need help with –

1/ I’m looking to speak with event producers / decision-makers at event organisations. We want to collaborate with them to help them find female speakers for their events. If you know someone, say hello?

2/ If you know someone who has worked with female artisans before, help me connect?

3/ If you’ve been around and find what we do interesting, say hi? Share thoughts?”
